Employment arrangements 

  • Start date: ASAP.
  • Salary: GBP 60,000 – 80,000 gross p.a. (depending on experience). 
  • This is a full time, permanent role.
  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm.
  • Remote working.
  • Candidates must have the right to work in the UK for at least two years. You will be asked to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK if you are invited to interview.
  • Reporting to: Programme Manager. 

Purpose of the role

  • This role will work to bring about decarbonisation in the forestry, land and agriculture sectors, some of the highest emitting components of the global economy. 
  • The successful candidate will do this by developing and delivering our strategy, building a team to achieve this ambition, and contributing to the wider growth of The Chancery Lane Project.

About the role

In this role, you will: 

  • be the ‘directing mind’ for our forestry, land and agriculture strategy, and sector team;
  • take an agile approach to developing and delivering the strategy so that it adapts to changing circumstances;
  • build and nurture trusted relationships with target audiences in the sector;
  • support target audiences in the sector with aligning the way they operate and trade with climate through climate aligned contracting;
  • work collaboratively with our team and networks to ensure that our legal content is relevant and of the highest calibre; and
  • lead your team with active project management, strong prioritisation and an inclusive and collaborative working style that enables them and builds agency.
