## Definition

**Adverse Climate Outcome (ACO)** means any outcome directly resulting from the non-performance of an affected obligation, or the enforcement of this clause \[●\] in relation to that non-performance, which may have an adverse effect on the climate, and includes but is not limited to:

(a) reduced [Air Quality;](https://chancerylaneproject.org/wp-content/uploads/wp-mfa-exports/glossary-term/air-quality.md)

(b) an increase in[ Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions](https://chancerylaneproject.org/wp-content/uploads/wp-mfa-exports/glossary-term/greenhouse-gas-emissions.md);

(c) dumping of stock that was created using [Natural Capital](https://chancerylaneproject.org/wp-content/uploads/wp-mfa-exports/glossary-term/natural-capital.md);

(d) wasted [Embedded Carbon; ](https://chancerylaneproject.org/wp-content/uploads/wp-mfa-exports/glossary-term/embodied-carbon-embedded-carbon.md)or

(e) \[_insert other adverse effects_\].

**Adverse Social Outcome (ASO)** means any outcome directly resulting from the non-performance of an affected obligation, or the enforcement of this clause \[●\] in relation to that non-performance, which may have an adverse social effect, and includes but is not limited to:

(a) the insolvency of a party;
(b) redundancies \[or dismissal of contractors\] within that party above \[●\];
(c) an increase in poverty, deprivation or hunger; or
(d) \[_insert other adverse social effects_\]**.**
